A Friend For Life
Many friends come and many friends go
But we will be friends forever this I know
She is very beautiful from head to toe
With short beautiful black hair
And big brown eyes that seem to glow
With a beautiful smile and soft spoken voice
Made me pick you as the girl of my choice
I really do hope and pray
We will be together one day
On our back we lay
Looking up at the stars so bright
On a warm summer night
Where nothing is wrong everything is right
I will whisper in your ear “tonight I had so much fun
Lets stay awake to see the rise of the sun
Ive been meaning to ask if we could do this for days
But to someone like you I did know what to say
When I asked I didn’t think you wouldn’t say yes
But it turns out I was wrong in my guess
When it comes to friends you are one of my best
You have made my heart come out of my chest
You have my heart beating in my throat
So for you this poem I wrote
‘a friend y ou are indeed
a friend you are in need
a friend to stand by me
for some things I have done
a friend for time to come
a friend you have always been
a friend you will be to the end’ ”
