Poems of Lighthouse Bob
The Coffee House #261
The Coffee House There is a coffee house just down the street from mine Where coffee's still a brewin' mostly all the time. Oc-ca-sion-al-ly homesick will drop in for a spell And there share some stories. Oh, the stories they do tell! Woman often meet there to talk and share some brunch And men come there too -- for women. (That's my hunch!) There is a coffee house just down the street from mine Where the soupe du jour's to die for -- Pastries, Oh! Divine! A wayward poet often stops by to recite And all the patrons smile with responses of delight. Frequently some visit to unload and to unwind At such a lovely place where ALL can speak their mind. There is a coffee house just down the street from mine Where sometimes windows open just to see who's there on line. Smiles, Lighthouse Bob |
