Why Do You Love Your Cigarettes ?

Why do you love your cigarettes ?
Let me count the ways.
Firstly theres the hydrogen cyanide
a deadly poison banned
by civilised countries from being
used on battlefields.
Then theres nicotine, another
powerful poison, an undiluted drop
of which has the power to kill you
in a few agonising seconds.
There is ammonia, an eye-smarting
pungent substance developed as an
industrial cleaner, the fumes of which
will de-grease car differentials and
clean stubborn fat from cooking pots.
Lets not forget the tar, the sticky
black, toxic, cancer-inducing tar,
nor overlook the phenol,
the poisonous substance they use
to make glue and deadly explosives.
Inhaling all those tasty chemicals,
murdering your lungs in cold blood,
whilst showing your fellow citizens what
a selfish, woolly-minded, air-polluting,
health-wrecking prat you are, must give
you something in return.....does it ?
