Distance…Distance is nothing to people, who care, For they always know the other is there. Waiting patiently for the other to call, When things go wrong when the mighty fall! For there is always a link, no matter what, To the friend on the other side of the world, And over the time, many tales come to mind, And storied to yet be unfurled! Why is it easy to care for someone like you? And to know that you care so much for me, Why isn't life like this the world over? And why is it mostly pain that we see? You send me your smiles from across the sea, And always with love in your heart, And no matter what and no matter how, Distance is nothing to keep people apart. For we have built a foundation! Made of sand and stone, And no matter what and no matter where, It will never be overthrown! To share something special, as people do, And to have a heart so sweet; Is enough to make the world all over, A happier place for people to meet!
