No ResistanceOne by one the days go by Older I age faster they fly Count them quick or count them slow Count them not but away they must go Never to return once Dark catches Light Heeding no resistance sucumb to it's right Always looking forward yet, still clutching to the past Floating through uncertain which day may be our last If thou should live each one to the fullest extent Know at thy ending thine hours, well spent Seasons shall come again they shall pass Fall's yellow leaves Spring's green grass Frozen, harsh Winters Great Horned Stag Sleepy creatures of hibernation Unforgiving Crone, Wise Old Hag Blissfully warm Summers Dragon Flies, Lightening Bugs Blooming flowers here and there Swimming spots, Secretive hugs All just one more piece of Year's Wheel Another sliver of life for Time to steal Blessed may thee be upon thy journey Though we shed our shells May our souls live Eternally (Written by: Rain Y Daze Copywrited December 2004) Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
