The Let Down!

The pressure,the tension,
the pent up emotion, bubbles
and gurgles and thrusts with
it's force.

I feel it strong surging
and pushing and pulling,
ever uphill to the fireworks display.

Eventually I get there,
awaiting the sizzle,
but I stand there in
silence, and I'm all alone.

What a let down!

Joy Weare.
13th December, 2004.
