The Way She SmilesFrom the way she smiles at you, and the way she flips her hair You could easily be mistaken to think she doesn't have a care But don't let her fool you with those big, brown, doe eyes This child, aged well past her years, knows all about heartaches and bittersweet Good Byes Yet she keeps her chin up always looking straight ahead She's the cherry on your sundae or on your banana split instead Always the highlight of the day... her future's just right around the corner Driver's license, Graduation, College, Some sweet guy to adorn her.... Someone should tell her she's beautiful, just to make sure she knows.... She stands out from the crowd, with an inner radiance that glows Just yesterday, it seems she was a good bit smaller From a child to a young woman, overnight and she's gotten much taller! Do not judge her actions, until you've walked in her shoes Unless you are her, you don't know what you would choose The secrets she holds withholds deep within her brilliant mind, are buried so far down, Could take a lifetime of digging to find Such a wonderful person on the inside and out... She's what makes the world go 'round She's what life is all about (Written By: Rain Y Daze Copywrited December 2004) This poem is for my niece (she knows who she is :P) she brings so much joy into my life, and I love her dearly. Got a future so bright, she's gotta wear shades . . . . yes I really did just quote that tacky song, lmao. {Love you always baby, Blessed Be your lil' heart forever.
