In Captivation

the sweetest man I ever knew,
could hold me with his fingertips,
as they printed words upon a screen,
I could almost feel his lips.

there were many times he touched me,
with just a gentle stroke of a key.
sometimes when I was lost and couldn't see
he was my consolation...a reason to live

he brought joy and laughter into my life,
in a way I had never known.
because of his humour and twisted side
I feel inside I got drawn and drowned

the question, just this simple,
is how I feel this way?
even so I can't explain,
he's half a world away.

it appeared to vast and scattered space,
it seemed we couldn't fit,
but every time he sees the smile upon my face
he rose with new commit.

he always says he feels the same way
so I'm lookin' forward to thatpromised day
when all these confirmed in reality
when we embark in our sensuality

just as long as we have love we do not give up
all we need is trust and a holding faith to keep up
spaces in between...though wide and almost far
while we remain distant, we still wish upon a star!
