The QuestionJust a puzzle of random statements most we didn't understand. As she rambled on and on I gently held her hand Inside my heart was breaking for this loved one close to me once so vibrant full of life now a shell is all I see Her mind it soars to unknown realms and leaves us all behind maybe in some lost flashback me again she'll find But as we rose to leave the room her question loud and clear with a smile across her gentle face we saw she had no fear "Don't you think as I lay me down I should ask God to come get me all life's burdens will be gone and Heaven I will see?" A little voice said to her No, we want you here and with a look of understanding she heard it loud and clear She didn't ask God that night to come and take her home She knew that we needed her she couldn't leave us all alone. by...Debbie/nana5 This is written about my aunt whos brain and memory has been affected by 3 massive strokes. As myself, my middle daughter and her little girl Katie were leaving her hospital room.My aunt called Katie(my grandaughter who is 7) over to her and asked her if she should go to sleep and have God come and get her. That really upset all of us but especially my little grandaughter, but my aunt wouldn't have asked her that if she were in her right mind. But as the poem states she is still with us, and we thank God for that. But its a heartbreaking situation, and its got to be twice as hard for my aunt.Thank all of you for all the prayers you send out.
