Depression is an empty, lonesome, uncontrolled feeling,
As if someone's disconnected from the outside world;
The person is always tired, cranky snapping at everyone,
Nothing mattered anymore and mere exhaustion takes over.
The depressive fellow thinks it is completely his fault,
That he is not even worth anybody's time and attention;
He is ashamed of himself for no reason at all,
And scared of the person he would eventually become.
He has no more appetite for sex, for life and wants to end his,
He doesn't like to go out to meet his family and friends;
Can't even motivate himself to face the simplest adversity,
So helpless, an insomniac, irritable, totally isolated.
What can cause the disorder that bugs most of us,
Serotonin imbalance, mid-life crises, ailments, hormones, finances?
Peace of mind begins by talking to a trusted doctor,
And the sooner you do this, the speedier your road to recovery is!
DEPRESSION IS LIKE OTHER ILLNESS,
IT CAN BE REMEDIED AND WE CAN FEEL BETTER;
THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO DO AND TO ADMIT,
IS NOT TO BE SHY NOR BE AFRAID OF IT!
