It's amazing how melancholy I get every New Years Eve.
Every New Years I make myself the same promises,
and Every New Years,
I find myself in the same melancholy mood.
Perhaps it is the Old Acquaintances~~~~~after all.
Melancholy Memories
other times, other places,
other states and other faces,
other mem'rys my mind chases
through the fog that's lost in spaces
that my soul, distressed to find,
for the easing of my mind,
other times when life was kind
Could I have really been so blind?
Lips that part for that tender kiss
To start the year without: would be remiss,
Mem'ry lingers, in such bliss
Of carnal knowlege of that kiss,
But mem'ry is all I have in store,
searching mem'ry, for I want more,
Your arms to shield me, I do implore,
More mem'ries of the one I adore.
