I went for a walk
beneath a night's lonely sky.
I was missing my love,
when a glimpse caught my eye.
A falling star fell,
from heavens, dark above.
So I closed my eyes, made a wish,
for my long lost love.
I saw a fountain pool,
while strolling through a mall.
Reached in my pocket,
the fount seemed to call.
I closed my eyes, tossed a coin,
and craved this special wish;
to once again, very soon,
feel her gentle kiss.
Then it was my birthday,
and mother baked a cake.
Before I blew out candles,
I had this wish to make.
Wherever you are my love,
wherever that may be,
know how much I love you,
please come back to me.
