Don't Worry Daddy
Six months ago today
God called another Angel home,
Leaving a little boy and his Father
in this world so all alone.
His Father was sitting quietly
the little boy saw he was sad,
"Did He really need my mommy
more than you and I did, Dad?"
The Father's tears flowed freely
as he hugged his little boy,
and looking into that little face
he saw his greatest pride and joy.
"God called Mommy for she was special
and I know it doesn't seem fair,
The Angels need love to Son
and Mommy had so much to share."
Just a short time later
Dad was packing things away,
when his little boy rushed in
and cried," I saw Mommy today!"
"I fell so very hard Daddy
see I skinned my knee,
and there Daddy was Mommy
she was smiling down on me."
"Oh she looked so pretty
in wings of snowy white,
and all around her Daddy
she glowed so very bright."
"She said she'd be with me always
for she's apart of me,"
with his little hand upon his heart
he said," here is where she'll be."
His Daddy held him tightly
not knowing what to say,
the little boy said, "don't worry Daddy
we'll see Mommy again one day."
