Disharmonic ArrythmiasThis poem is an "experiment"~a response poem to a friend of mine's poetry...He gave me permission to post his poem here~with mine in response...He wrote his as an exercise in using dialogue in poetry~and mine followed~not so much with emphasis on dialogue but in mimicking his theme. I will post his first (Love Duet) by Suchoon Mo. Mine (Disharmonic Arrythmias) will follow! Thank you, Suchoon! Love Duet O my love what did you say? O my love love? I love you love what? You are my moon light you love moon light? You are my sun shine you love moon shine? Look at the rainbow it is snowing My heart and your heart leave my heart alone Our heart beat together you know I am not a Siamese twin! You are my pure white lily accusing me of being a dope? You are as pure as Virgin Mary how do you know I am a virgin or not? I long for you sounds reasonable I cannot live without you you that sick? I love you I give up! Suchoon Disharmonic Arrythmias I love you You don't know what love is Your skin is as soft as silk You don't own anything silk Your eyes are liquid pools of They are a viscous solid I love being in your arms Give them back. I have an itch. I want to kiss you forever. You are suffocating me. But I love you. Those are just words. But they are my words (I love you.) Lori Beal Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
