The moral uncoil.

A path chosen your heart knows to be true
Is a step into the morass of this mortal coil
Indulging oneself in circumstantial mind games
In the hope of the same result from the logical.

For detatched are these two, mind and heart
As one is calculating and the other maybe brave
Somewhere between each the center of choice
Where we all are though no-one else can save.

Our experiences teaches us only if we learn
That we do not merely exist but hold effect
Those anonymous or of friendly persuasion
Can then withold the thoughtless and reflect.

The jewel lies between the heart and mind
For it holds the dichotomy of our existance
So it can shine a balance must be maintained
Or toward life itself shall come resistance.
