Who can keep up with their every thought
And keep tabs of all their actions?
Who is aware of what motivates
And what is the source of attraction?
Who know the numbers of our hair
Or our limited number of days?
Whoever can keep up all of that
Is certainly worthy of praise.
None of us, can possibly do
The things we have thus far mentioned,
Though we should be experts on ourselves
And surely, most are well intention.
But I tell you of One who can
And that without difficulty,
It is the God of Heaven--
Who knows us each perfectly!
To just be able to know all things
As it relates to just one,
Would in itself show such powerfulness
More power as to outshine the sun!
But just for a moment think with me
As awesome as that truth may be,
Multiply that to all who have lived
And such knowledge concurrently.
For every second of the day
God watchfully knows us all,
The thoughts, the words that each speak
And the deeds of mankind, great and small.
The countless billions now alive
He knows all about us, save none,
And billions of lifetimes, he knows in detail
Of which we'll account when life's done.
As the Psalmist so rightly has said,
Such thought are too lofty for me,
But just given this, besides all else
God's Power exceeds Infinity!
