You Haven't a Clue
You offered your ears
Wanting nothing in return
Offering space
When it was the last thing wanted.
Afraid you were pushing
Asking too much
From a person
With much too many problems.
You felt bad
Wished you could be here
But you are here
You're in my mind, my soul.
Telling me
It'll be okay
They'll be nothing
Leaving me everything.
You showed your heart
Caring before knowing
And not judging
Just listening.
Listening to some crazed girl's thoughts
And probably asking youself
What you've gotten into
Wondering why you care.
Leaving her all your wisdom
And such powerful thoughts
Making her believe
She's something after all.
You've given her more
Than any friend has
Doing so much
You haven't a clue.
