GLaSs
Entranced in smoke and shadow,
I lay in wait for time to pass.
Remembering woes that left me hollow,
and built inside, a heart of glass.
Reminisced on memories faded,
perhaps no more than dreams.
Longed for perception untainted,
by the things that were less than they seemed.
Reflected eagerly upon the day,
the reasons I had blood tinted eyes.
Left behind things needed to say,
as I wear my clown disguise.
Traced a star formed out of sorrow,
bled a tear whose stain would last.
Died in a flame forgotten by tomorrow,
as I wait for time to pass.
