Because deep down your motives for them are suspect
And you can't tell them because it will cause more confusion
And bring more problems instead of a resolution
So you try to give the best advice and hope for correction
In hope that your heart doesn't plant seeds of deception
Praying they succeed and do not fail
Because you don't wanna see your friend go through that hell
So you must hide your feelings as hard as it is to try
And always have your shoulder ready for their crying eyes
Ready and willing to wipe all the tears away
Wishing you can make them cry tears of joy one day
