A Valentine for my daughter~~~Remember me~~Remember me~~~~ As you watch her eyes light up And sparkle with such glee, As you watch her write the words For that special Valentine~~~meant to be, As you try not to laugh when she wrinkles up her nose, Or stares at you with 'unbelieving' eyes, Well don't you just suppose I'm saying to you~~~Remember me~~~~ The joy she brings to you now, Is Joy we two have shared, The pride you feel for her, the same, You know, I've always cared, So as you watch as these days pass, Capture each within your heart, And keep them there, safe and secure, Vow~~they will never depart, These treasures can't be bought or sold, They come with no degree, Locked into these wistful memories, You will find us, you and me....
