Fields Of Grey ..

So soothing in sight,
Yet a pale delight
Awaits you beyond the tree,
Which is sickened by the consuming dark
The grass sways under the tree,
Its obscure patterns wave dull and dark
And contort in direction,
Until they start to fray,
And become not one animated nor bland.
A flourescant light flickers,
Swirls through the tree,
Embraces its magnificent beauty
As the darkness does fade,
Life is restored, finally.
The grass does grow in the shade of light,
And becomes a firmer blade
The single warming white
Feeding the souls,
And defeating the dark.
