i fall
I fall
I trust you, as I do any man.
Trepidation must show in my eyes,
skepticism
born of experience.
Even with certainty of outcome
I fall,
through safety net,
tumble
through pretense,
descend into
practiced lips
and easy words,
plummet through your wake
splashed
against neck
and breasts,
fall into tongue
forked
and thick
with promise,
spiral
into hands
demanding and
full of want.
Too easily,
I fall
through the crack
between
your bed
and my reality.
