 Dread's Dark Poetry

Self

Complications are cells on my skin
A growth of hard shell
Softness sheds in every tear
It seems I over some vast period of time
Have lost my ground

Who is it that stands in my shoes
Where do I hide things
Give me back my sanity
Hear the seams tearing
Feel the taste divide

So empty sometimes
I have to scars to tell me
 I don't remember much

My reflection has many faces
Some of whome I have never seen
Introducing myself is

redundant
redundant
repetitive

Recognize each persona

One has dreams of stages
One of national affair
One has needs of children

I respond to my own questions
articulate and methodical
I convinced myself I was talking to someone else
that "else" has always been me
