The Crime
Someone stole my baby
was her urgent cry
at the time no one suspecting
she'd made up the awful lie.
A man pulled her over
he was dark and very tall
abducted from her car
thats what she told them all.
An alarm was sent out
Police personnel made haste
they new for this baby boy
there was no time to waste.
The night was dark and cold
her stories began to change
nothing seemed to add up
she was acting very strange.
She said, look on the Mountain
he may have took him there
where did she get that idea
He could be anywhere.
There was no kidnapper
she wanted him no more
her little baby boy
was nothing but a chore.
She drove up the mountain
with just one thing in mind
down this thousand foot drop
no baby would they find.
She held the baby up there
dropped him over the side
got in her car and left
an never even cried.
Police finally found him
they heard him from above
he was cradled in a bush
held By God's pure love.
There were scrapes and bruises
but nothing broke at all
God reached out his hand
and cushioned the babies fall.
He lives with his Grandparents
his Mother's doing time
and for the rest of her life
she'll pay for this crime.
