Just Scream

Turning and thrashing
The sheets are torn
Lost in her anguish
A heart forlorn

Words all she hears
Spinning in her head
She wishes for death
Lying there on her bed

With claws and nails
Ripped hopes from a shelf
Pleading for help
She's all by herself

Collapsing into sleep
With one breathless scream
She closes her eyes
To return to the dream
