I plead to the lonely
Please lend me your tears
So I may sail upon them
To my love so dear
I have cried just the same
Have filled the depths of an ocean
Been swept of the tides
Of every sorrowed emotion
Perhaps some before me
Journeyed into the sun
Adrift on a salty sea of longing
To their own loved one
So I plead of the lonely
Won't you help me this day
Let me go now to the one
Who can wipe my tears away
