BOUND BY YOUR PAST
Sometimes life,
can get you down.
Instead of smiling,
you wear a frown.
Life's circumstances,
are very hard.
leaving your life,
unsettled and marred.
You sit back and think,
why is this happening too me?
You don't want these feelings,
You need to be free.
Free from the pain,
deep in your heart.
Wanting peace,
and a brand new start.
The past it haunts you,
You can't get away.
But hope... it brings you,
To another day.
You can run all your life,
from the sins of your past.
But someday you'll tire,
and want freedom at last.
You look up to Heaven,
wanting to live.
Asking God for mercy,
Your sins He'll forgive.
Jesus can change,
Your heart at last.
Don't be a prisoner,
bound by your past.
