THE TRUE MEANING OF EASTER
Have we taken a moment today,
To thank God for all that He has given?
To thank Him for all blessings,
and for the life that we are living?
Did we thank God today,
for the blessings of the Son?
For Jesus who gave His life,
so that with God we could be one?
Did we thank Jesus today,
for dying on the cross?
For removing our sins,
For saving all the lost?
Maybe you didn't thank God,
for the blessings of His Son.
Maybe it's because,
with God you and He aren't one.
Maybe you didn't thank God,
cause you don't really know.
The God that created you,
the God who loves you so.
You will start to thank God,
when you truly see.
The power of the cross,
and what Jesus did for thee.
You will start to thank God,
when forgiveness you receive.
When you open up your heart,
when in Jesus you believe.
You will start to thank God,
when his awesomeness fills your heart.
When he takes away your sinful past,
and gives you a brand new start.
If you don't know God,
take a moment to stop and pray.
Ask God for His forgiveness,
for your sins to take away.
Tell God,
that in Jesus you believe.
That on this Easter morn,
His Spirit you'll receive.
Don't go another day,
because it truly is your loss.
Knowing God is a gift,
made possible through the cross.
