It's Over... let it go
We both see it slipping away
We'll hold on long as we can
Not enough between us, to keep us
It's fading, like footprints in sand.
Thought we could do this
Keep each other company
The strain is taking a toll on us
Time to set each other free.
We could keep things, like they are
Live together uncomfortably
It would be a pity
To prolong this indefinitely.
No expectations of happiness
No joy any longer in sight
No romance! no passion!
No reason to hold on another night.
