Petals In The Grass

The Anguish Deep Inside

Troubled thoughts persist
The spirits begin to stir
Impossible consequences
Are all thats left
From a broken day

Having a mental disease
Life loses its meaning
My subconscious is sacrified
Due to difficult memories
That attack and seek revenge

Happy thoughts discarded
My thinking becomes disturbed
Not exactly sure where its coming from
This sickness called pain
That afflicts my mind

Trying to find the answer
For the anguish deep inside
That plagues my very sanity
And consumes my very soul
It won't let go

Looking for a cure
These pills they are not working
Feeling rather tired
I lay myself down for sleep
Praying for joyous slumbers
