The Spirit of Terri Schiavo
Stuck in this body,
I want to get out.
Wanting to scream,
but nothing comes out.
I can't even think,
I hate being this way.
I'm stuck in this body,
for yet another day.
I wouldn't want to be a burden,
with my family always there.
Being forever in need,
of their constant time and care.
I want to be free...
Let me go, with love...
My spirit is longing...
For that heavenly place above...
Remember me and smile,
Think of happy days gone by.
I don't want you to feel guilty,
I don't want you to cry.
Just remember me,
and know that I'm OK.
I am whole and free in heaven,
and we shall meet again someday.
