Growing up in a hurryRaising children has it's trials, they grow up way too fast. wanting to keep them in diapers, so their childhood will last. As the teen years roll around, you seem to always worry. They want to do adult things, because they are growing up in a hurry. They don't seem to understand, The reasons you say "NO". They think you're being mean, because you won't let them go. Some parents are more lenient, they just don't seem to care. It makes parenting difficult, when your child thinks you're unfair. I wish that parenting was easier, it gets harder from year to year. If children would only realize, how parents live in fear. The world is such an evil place, I don't want them growing up in a hurry. I pray for peace and for their protection, Because all I do is worry. Kelley Marie Quinn Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
