Strength to carry on
Fragile hearts,
we were given.
We feel the pain,
in this life we're living.
Some hearts broken,
like shattered glass.
From years of abuse,
and a pain filled past.
Hearts hardened,
turned to stone.
From a life of abuse,
and feeling alone.
Painful memories,
of days gone by.
Broken and battered,
you sit and cry.
Just remember,
you have choices to make.
Choose to be strong,
before you break.
Choose to stay,
in the rut you are in.
Or pick yourself up,
and the battle you'll win.
Don't remain broken,
You can make it through.
A stronger person is there,
somewhere inside of you.
