Primal Ruminations

A Watchful Eye

Mini cams the size of postage stamps continuously active and linked
To millions of websites whose sole function is to record and isolate,
Images in a world the size of a beach ball,
Millions of metal-morphic eyes imbedded in the skin of a black Naga
Whose dimensions are without scope and expanding…
Seeking to fill the void of a world incompletely catalogued,
Not yet digested
Adding together to make the eye of Big Brother like that of a giant house fly with each ocular segment sheltering a tiny brain to record, analyze and report to a bigger brain…a smarter brain…
A pyramid of greater brains resting on lesser brains
Subjugating ideas and inclinations under the immense weight
Of the authority of its centralized position
To dominate and force submission
On anything or anyone
Mashing and sloshing through the streets and tunnels of its self proclaimed body,
Keeping its watchful eyes on the cells and arteries
That invoke His will and design
Upon the collective mind of His minions --
Suburban serfs who scramble to meet the obligations of the day
Nestled in a pupa of consumption and procreation
Fiercely proud of their brood or litter,
Defenders of the Rich and Celebrated
Righteous crusaders of order within the compound
And subordination of the world outside,
Not that it matters,
Just that it's nice to know…
That God's garden is an English one,
With angular control over cultural diversity,
Just like it should be in a perfect world,
Where order must prevail,
That's what the mini cams are looking for,
Any disorder or disrespect
Any abnormal movement, any recognizable moving entity
Flagged by the system and on the loose,
A glitch, an inflexion
Something… anything… this syncophant can upload
To a higher station,
A moment of recognition,
A testament of usefulness,
In the life of a mini cam, the size of a postage stamp,
Imbedded in the side of a building or the trunk of a tree
Watching, looking
For abnormalities and reporting
Now and continuously,
The events as seen through a peephole
