Dead Man Walking
His spirit is weak,
He is feeling so low.
No emotions left,
in which to show.
Depression lurks over him,
he is hurting so much inside.
He holds in his tears because he's a man,
his tears he chooses to hide.
Taught as a child,
That men shouldn't cry,
His emotions are bottled,
they pile up high.
He is a ticking time bomb,
ready to explode.
He pulls out a gun,
and begins to load.
He stops for a moment,
He screams and he shouts.
He's decided to take,
the easy way out.
Looking for an easy way,
to rid himself of pain.
He is no longer stable,
He's gone insane.
At that moment,
God steps in.
He says "taking your life,
would be a sin."
"I know it is hard,
to carry your load."
"Your life is a mess,
because you chose the wrong road."
"Get on the road,
that leads to me."
"My spirit is there,
to comfort thee."
"Blessings are just around the corner,
they will be yours in due time."
"Hang in there my weakened child,
for soon everything will be fine."
