water wars 1

They held a drumhead court-martial
They said it was only right
Then they found him guilty
And shot him that very night
He should have known better
Should have known he had to ask
The gathering of water is
An arduous task
There can only be one verdict
Where water means life
And its shortage cause
Of bitter strife:
He stole
Didn't ask first
It s no excuse
To have a thirst
