The Letter

This poem tells of how people end up with no one, because of society
 and how things get mislaid

There was once a letter,
posted through the door.
Some how it got under the carpet,
that lay on the floor.
Many years passed,
before it came to light.
When it was opened,
there was a surprise in sight
It revealed a secret,
that had been hidden for years.
Which made the reader
shed some tears.
It read of a young woman,
who begged to come home.
Her friend's had gone,
and she was all alone.
Even her lover,
had gone back to his wife.
There was a child on it's way
and she had ruined, her life.
The letter was dated
nineteen thirty four
That was a long time ago
When this letter, was
posted through the door.
If the child had lived
there could be a family
of it's own, but it's
because of this letter.
The Grand Parents remain unknown.
