***Following My Dream***Dreams can only be earned...! They can't be begged, borrowed, bought or sold... The more you dream, the more you want… So hold that dream – its worth more than gold! I dreamed a dream once upon a moon ago, Never knowing it would transpire, And though it was only a dream… I spiraled to it, higher and higher! I wasn't going to lose sight of that dream! For they are part of the making of life…! And while we hold onto that dream, It helps to soften the blow of strife. So over the years I have walked the walk, And dreamed that dream of mine… Never wavered, faltered or give in, Just held on to that dream so fine! And oft at times I would tell myself, That this dream just wouldn't come true, But still I kept the hope inside… It was one thing I was determined to do! So my life went on, and still I wrote, And collected poems from my brain, Hundreds and thousands of them too! I tap them all out over and over again! It's like I can't turn off the tap, My words just simply fall to the page, And I have to admit, though I say it myself, I have improved my writing with age! So I held tightly to that dream of mine, Determined to always stay strong, I kept it in my mind and heart… For my determination of it was so strong! But strong as though it was and is, I thought it wouldn't come to pass for me, But there it is – my dream came true, And its there for the entire world to see! I had a dream in my head and heart, I had that dream rooted deep in my soul, I was ‘Following My Dream…' I had a dream and now I have reached my goal…! ***My Dream Came True*** …I Hope Yours Will Too… Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
