Lived to tell her story
I was watching a talk show the other day.
about people who lived.
After being nearly murdered.
In a horrific gruesome way.
This woman was stabbed multiply,
by her once loving spouse.
Leaving her for dead,
inside of their cozy little house.
She never saw it coming,
She couldn't understand.
What possessed him to do this,
He took her life into his hands.
She laid there bleeding,
gashes everywhere.
It was a very chilling episode,
one that was far beyond compare.
Scars upon her body,
she will wear them for the rest of her life.
Her appearance is very mangled,
how could he do this to his wife?
Those scars will forever remind her,
of that horrific gruesome day.
He might have mangled her body,
but her inner beauty can't be taken away.
