A grandsons love for his grandfather
I remember memories of old,
the laughter we would share.
Those times I will always cherish,
I treasure them with care.
You are my loving grandfather,
I will always remember you.
You've watched me grow from a boy to a man,
you have seen all that I have been through.
Today you lay sick in your bed,
Your body's to tired to fight.
I don't want you to suffer anymore,
may God free your spirit tonight.
May the angels sing you a lullaby,
as you lay down your weary head.
May Jesus come to greet you,
and bring peace to you in your bed.
When his gentle arms embrace you,
when you are raptured in his love.
He will carry your eternal spirit,
to that heavenly place above.
Grandfather I want you to know,
that you have touched my life in a special way.
It's OK for you to let go,
for we shall all meet again someday.
