In A Baby's Eyes

I look up and all I see is a bright light. I'm scared and afraid as I then start to cry and then wail. Mama, mama, I want to say but I'm not old enought to talk yet, so I do is cry, hoping she will find me soon. Someone picks me up but who can it be? It isn't my mama.

A stranger is looking at me, help! Whew! It was only daddy in a mask. I start to grin and coo as I also laugh and play. Just a little tiny baby, I see mama by his side. I start to move, but where too? Where are they taking me?

Its only outside to see the blue sky, the tall trees, and the green grass. I knew it all along. Can we play hide and seek or peek-a-boo? I love those games. They're fun cuz daddy and mama always finds me. I love my mama and my daddy. That's my words I'll tell them when I'm old enough to talk.

Mama just brought me home a teddybear for me to cuddle up too. Now I think I'll suck my thumb and lay me down to sleep. Daddy don't forget to kiss me goodnight and please before you leave, don't forget to turn on the night light.

Its amazing what babies see but only if we could see what they now see today and how they feel. We'll never know but that's why I go back and think of what it was like when I was small. In God's eyes all things are possible but in a baby's eyes, who knows?
