Marie; Oh Daughter Of Mine. She stands so proud and tall, A determined lady is she, To me an icon of all that's good, For the truth is all she'll see. She has an air of grace, Her stance is one of strength, A heart full of love and happiness, And she'll share that love at length! She is all that I would like to be, Oh daughter, oh daughter of mine, Strong and bold and compassionate, She has a strength in her strong and fine. She isn't afraid to use her voice, Can stand alone on any ground, Speaks out against injustice, Unafraid of any wrath to be found! She tells how it is most firmly, For an intellectual woman is she, She is the light of my life, A fantastic daughter to me! She is an icon in my mind, She is he jewel beheld in my eyes, She is all that, and much more, She is the sun, moon, and stars in the skies! She Is My Daughter, My Icon My Pride!
