How Did I Get Here?
Back when I was a child
I dreamed of being so many things
an astronaut, a doctor, even a actress
but somewhere along the way my life changed
I got off the tracks somewhere
I just never can remember where
why am I here? I don't want to be
what ever happened to those dreams?
Many say it's never too late
to change the outcome but what about fate?
is there somewhere out there
maybe written in the stars
that certain people only go so far
if everyone achieved their dreams or goals
where would the blue collar man be?
Someone has to do the s*** jobs
like work in McDonalds or the plant factory
but I just hope 20 years from now
I won't look back and wonder where did it all go?
if this is to be my destiny
I hope and pray that it gets easier
cuz right now I can't really see the benefits
all I feel is my struggle
and the nagging question
