Satan's path
Guilty of such evil things,
In his heart there is a hole.
Sin has eaten away at him,
penetrating into his soul.
He is tormented by his sins,
he is wakened when he sleeps.
He sticks a needle into his arm,
lays his head back as he weeps.
Drugs are his escape,
but things are far from right.
Blackness surrounds his being,
because he refuses to see the light.
God is waiting there for him,
he has been there all along.
But he chooses the needle and his torment remains,
his choices are senseless and wrong.
He can continue to live his life like this,
and soon he'll be history.
He can choose to die on Satan's path,
with God forever remaining a mystery.
