The Holiday Is Over!

I drove to school in the rain, and wondered how the day would pan out. Last night I didn't sleep much, which is what often happens the night before I go back to school after a break from it all.

The children seemed a bit bigger and a bit taller and they were full of bright smiles and seemed happy to see me. Justin had just about stopped dribbling and Lyrik had his hair cut closely cropped to his head. Nathan was pleasantly shy, but it didn't last for long! Tracey said a few words without effort and Billy was smiley and nice !Daniel was holding a Mr Men book and was more interested in that than saying hello, but he did smile! Steven was quieter and seemed much bigger. Kristina was exactly the same, quiet and gentle, with a sweet smile!!

It turned out to be a sort of wishy washy day. We didn't do a lot of written work in the end and it rained most of the day.

I drove home feeling relaxed and cheerful!

Joy Weare.
