The great depression

Love Is

Love is my sin, and my dear virtue hate,
Hate of my sin, grounded on sinful loving.
Wow, but with mine compare you to own state,
And you shall find it great not reproving,
Or if it do not from those lips of fine
That have profaned their scarlet ornaments
And sealed false bonds of love as soft as mine,
But robbed others' beds' revenues of their rents.
Its unlawful I love you as you those
Who my eyes seek as yours importune me.
Root pity in my heart, that when it grows,
My pity may deserve to be pitied.
If you do seek to have what you do hide,
By self example may you be denied
