Sometimes,
we need a guiding hand
Sometimes,
we need someone
to show us the way
I think we know
instinctually the way
but sometimes
we need
a firm hand
a leading hand
to keep us in step
with the direction
we need to go
Like the father
reinforcing
the way
we need to face Life
it's challenges
it's strife
it's difficulties
We need praise
to instill into us
to cement..
to firment
and strengthen into us
that we are on
the right path..
the rewards;
knowing that we did
the right thing..
we did all we could do..
rest assuredly in God..
we did all we could do..
Would it not be for the father
and the mother..
that we are here..
there go I but for the grace of God..
It's human frailty and original..
to sin not once
but again and again..
we feel a certain guilt..
have we not all fallen short
of God's grace..
try to be more Christlike..
and flow like the river,
flow like the sea...
