Dragon's Eye

4/14/05

The Dragon sits within his lair
Watching as she combs her hair
Wondering if she'll really stay
Though she's been here through the day

Teres her name, mind games her skill
She's never really had to kill
Teres knows she won't start with him
She's where the good times all begin

Teres puts gold upon her arm
She knows he won't do her harm
A necklace made of gold and jewels
She knows how to use those tools

A dress she finds within a chest
Upon the chest there is a crest
It was a princess gown she knows
That was taken long ago

Red velvet with a hint of pearl
The dragon's eyes begin to whirl
A fairy tale has come to life
A royal one will be his wife

He gently picks her off the ground
He flies her all around the town
She laughs and sings with so much glee
He knows that this was meant to be

He takes her home back to his nest
There is a knight who's on a quest
To rescue maidens from his lair
And he has gold within his hair

The maiden sighs, love conquers all
The knight wins out, the dragon falls
They take the gold, the jewels, and things
They take the lovely wedding rings

Teres puts ribbons in her hair
The knight will marry her right there
There will be children some day soon
And they will bless the dragon's boon.
