Getting Out Of My Own Way

This Is Our Home

It's not exactly square

It's not in perfect repair

It was selected by my wife

It is full of life

We had made a few other bids

We did this for our kids

The kids can go out and play

We don't worry which way

There are sixteen trees

I hope they aren't full of bees!

There are stains on the carpet and recliner

There is nowhere I have ever felt finer

Today I got my hands in the dirt

It helped me to turn around some hurt

Today I transplanted a tree

I did it in honor of others not me

I said a short dedication/prayer

I had mud and dirt everywhere

In here I am never alone

Even if I ignore the phone

Love lives here, This is our home
