Ocean waves calm down as time goes by,
So does our heart beat as we slow down.
Once the fast forward button is pressed,
It can no longer be set back in time.

Slow motion moves only when going forward.
Why then dwell on what's left behind,
Nature has its own place in time,
While mankind lingers on with uncertainties.

Welcome each day as if it's your first.
Each birthday, you're just another day older,
So brush aside those candles on your cake,
And concentrate on its luscious ingredients.

A new life begins when the baby cries out.
As time goes by, the youth focus on getting older,
And the elderly wish they could go back in time,
Only to erase the many unnecessary cries.
